Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program
All SEKMCHD locations are enrolled VFC Providers.
This federally funded program ensures that eligible children receive vaccines at no cost, eliminating financial barriers to protection.
VFC Eligibility:
Children (18 years or younger) who meet one or more of the following criteria:
-
Uninsured
-
Enrolled in KanCare Title 19 (Medicaid)
-
Privately insured but lack vaccine coverage
CHIP Eligibility:
Children enrolled in Title 21 (CHIP) may also qualify for low-cost vaccines if:
-
They are uninsured, or
-
Their insurance plan does not include immunization coverage
Unsure of eligibility? Contact your local SEKMCHD office for assistance.
Private Insurance Information
SEKMCHD can bill most major insurance companies
-
If your plan covers immunizations, we will bill the insurance company directly
-
Any portion not covered will be the client's responsibility
-
Clients are encouraged to confirm coverage with their insurance provider prior to the appointment
If vaccines are not covered under your plan, children under 18 may still qualify under the VFC Program. No child will be denied vaccination due to inability to pay the administration fee.
Baby Cocoon Program – Free Pertussis (Tdap) Vaccine

-
Parents
-
Grandparents
-
Caregivers
-
Any individual in regular contact with infants under 12 months
💙 This service is offered at no cost.
